KAR is used as a source to validate account numbers. You can use KAR to check whether an account number and an organization number are linked to each other. In addition, you can verify whether an account number is active. In Inyett Detect, we use KAR in two different ways:
Warning Account connection (ERROR)
To use this function, the payment must be Norwegian and the extra service KAR must be activated.
Scenario 1.
If there is an organization number in the payment data, we check if that organization number and account number have been validated within the last 30 days. If there is a validation that is within 30 days, we use the message from that validation. If the validation is older than 30 days, we do a new check against KAR. If any of the red messages from KAR occur, an account connection ERROR warning is generated.
Scenario 2.
If the payment data does not contain an organization number, we check whether there is an organization number linked to the account number in the customer's "account connections". If there is an organization number in that list, we check if both the organization number and the account number have been validated within the last 30 days. If there is a validation within 30 days, we use the message from the last validation. If the validation is older than 30 days, we perform a new check against KAR. If any of the red messages from KAR occur, a warning is generated for incorrect account connection.
Scenario 3.
If there is no organization number in the payment data, we investigate whether there is an organization number linked to the account number in the customer's "account connections". If there is no organization number in that list, we cannot perform this check.
Warning Account number
Conditions:
To use this feature, the payment must be from Norway. In addition, the additional service KAR must be activated.
Scenario
If the account number has been validated within the last 30 days, we use the response from the last validation. If the validation is older than 30 days, we perform a check against KAR. If any of the orange messages from KAR occur, an account number alert is created.
